Transporting Troops from New York to the War in Europe
From October 14th, 1944 to May 13th 1945, the USS General G. O. Squier made six transatlantic, troop-carrying and rotation voyages from New York to ports in the United Kingdom (Plymouth, Southampton, and Avonmouth) and France (Le Havre). They transport 10,000+ troops during this time.
